Inspiration for social media page

During my research I found these social media pages which are what I plan on using as my references. These pages have a common theme of using funny captions, posting bloopers and behind the scenes, all of which I plan to incorporate in my Social media page. 

Platform for Marketing

 I have decided to use Instagram for the marketing of my short film. The main reason is because my audience research showed a major demand for that also, since my target audience is a younger group, for whom Instagram is the most popular social media platform compared to Facebook. 

More research into Mockumentaries

 Here are some of the videos I watched to understand the concept of Mockumentaries which will help me to bring the humor to my short film. There are some basic conventions that I learned like Talking heads, use of Zoom ins/outs and storyline creation.

Main Inspirations!

As a part of my research I looked into various comedy short films, the one which resembles my idea the most and I would use as one of my main inspirations is this mockumentary-

                  

The Bear - Mockumentary Short Film

Another one if my Inspiration is from the sitcom THE OFFICE, as this show has always been my main inspiration for this idea. I am using the episodes DIVERSITY DAY and STRESS RELIEF for my reference.

Finalizing my idea

 After a long period of researching and brain wracking, I have finally come up with the idea for my short film!! I plan on making a satire mockumentary style film. Looking back at the past years of the pandemic, the idea of making a comedy film about Covid came to me. I plan to use a conference setting with various countries and their reactions to the pandemic. I am very excited, can't wait to film this idea :D
